Kurinuki is a Japanese hand-building pottery technique that involves carving out vessels from solid clay blocks. You can create a box, a bowl, or a mug in this two-part workshop.
The course is in Estonian but instruction in English and Russian is possible.

Jarõna Ilo, the ceramics master at Kumu Studios, has worked as a freelance ceramicist for over twenty years. Her work emphasises both commercial ceramics and more abstract forms and techniques, which the master shares with both experienced and new ceramic lovers.
